Sold... and theres 2 on ebay cheaper. 1 with a buy it now 500 bucks cheaper.. and one that is 1000 more then the B&H price.

With the introduction of the 50 1.2L, the mad dash to dump the old 50 f1.0L at those premium prices begins. Once the new 50 hits the streets, I don't think its older/faster brother will command such ridiculous prices any longer. We'll see I guess.

according to the Canon Camera Museum it weighs 985g.. so just under a kilogram. Heavy :p

For comparative purposes the 85mm 1.2 I/II weighs 1025g and the 50mm 1.4 290g.

++ Ooh, and the 50mm 1.8 only 130g.. so not quite 8 1.8's to the 1.2 :p
