Ok, i asked for some advice before on what macro lens would be a wise purcahse, i took the advice to use my 50 and add some tubes, however now i am ready to make the purchase i find myself stuck,,,,again.
I would like to retain autofocus if possible, and retain exif data. I understand some brands cannot provide this.
Any recommendations, i hear Kenkoo(is that the correct name) are a good brand, what about Jessops(uk shop brand) has anyone bought these?
I would like to hear opinions, pros and cons of either please, or indeed any other brands that are out there, much appreciated, A.

You'll find the Jessops EOS fit ones are fine- I use them. You can rarely get a camera error when using all 3 but a simple reseat of the tubes and lens solves that. The other thing is the Jessops ones can be used with EF-s lenses.

Start with a coin - they dont move so you are unlikely to be disappointed :)

Agree with RM- coin is fairly normal or how about a stamp with a duck on it :)

So how do they work? Is this like the old bellows, but with tubes? Makes any lens magnify? And does this mean you have to get closer to the victim, er, subject?

doesnt magnify, jst extends the focal length allowing you to get closer to the subject.

I use the Kenko tubes and they work fine they make all electrical connections and the only thing you will not get is the info for the addition of the tubes in MMs , I have use Kenko for over three years and only had one connection issue with the canon ones and a pencil eraser used on the contacts cleaned them up nicely and haven't had an issue since cleaning then 8 month ago.
