Howdy!

Here's another shot from the Adirondacks. A stormy day around Blue Mountain Lake. I think it may have been sprinkling still! Hope you like it. Oh, don't bother me about it being crooked... I didn't notice that until I was done PP  ***EDIT: I straightened the horizon line***

EDIT: Just adding a black and white. Trying to decide what I like better. Any thoughts?

I prefer the color but, dang, it sure is crooked. ;) But seriously, it's a very nice shot. I really like that big 'ole rock in the foreground and, of course, the sky is fantastic.

I prefer the colour version, the textures of rock/wood look much better.

Love the clouds and how you got in the small line of grass - excellent shot

Thanks a lot guys. Yeah, I think I do prefer the color myself as well. I like them both though. Now I just have to go back and straighten it up ;) :D Thanks again!

Hey, here's another I wanted to share, but didn't want to start another thread for. It's a portion Wakeley Pond, looking at it from Cedar River Rd. in Hamilton County New York. The heart of Adirondack Park. It gets bigger after the narrow bit in the center of the shot, and widens out quite a bit. Thanks for looking!!!

I've been to Wakeley Pond before and I have to say, you have done a wonderful job capturing it. The colors are just great! Great job on both!

If you could add a touch of 'film grain' to the black and white, that would really polish it off.

Whoa, lots of replies. Thanks so much everyone.

Being up there in the mountains again really sparked an interest to get back into photography. It's really hard to find the time to do it though. The only reason I've been online today, is because I was home sick from work
At least it gave me time to play with a few more vacation shots.

Mills, thanks. It's good to see a familiar name.

And all you unfamiliar names too! ;) :D

Thanks for the comps everyone.

I like this last one _ little uneven polarization and dust specks in the sky but still a nice shot, as others are too.

The last one's great. Lovely compsition, and a gorgeous sky. (Even if there are dust specks in it - I wouldn't have noticed if Bluedog hadn't mentioned it.)

You should post these in different threads and let others view them too.
Now alot of people will miss them plus you might run out of pictures to post.
For example,i really liked some of the latest ones you posted but you could miss the chance of being told how nice they are.;)
