I guess I can say these images weren't intended to show a scenic view but rather a little foreground with clouds as the background. Something a little different I thought I'd try. What do you think.
Thanks for looking, C&C welcomed.

Therefore, #2 does it for me. Very nice contrast. - 5D & 60D (x2), EFS 10-22, EF 17-40L, EF 50 f1.4, EF 24-105L, EF 100-400 L IS

It's just a distraction that gets in the way of the main subject, which is the clouds. With #2 you've got a lovely horizon line of the mountains, so I'd try cropping it so that 20% of the photo is mountain, 20% is sky below the clouds, and 60% is clouds. Your profile doesn't say 'Image editing OK' so I haven't tried a quick workup, but I'd be happy to if it's OK with you... www.LensesForHire.co.uk

I like to see what others can do with it.

StewartR "your nose is too big" 4,269 posts Joined Jun 2006 Location: Maidenhead, UK More info | OK Frank, here's a couple of quick crops of #2. Neither is quite what I'd have been after: I think I'd have wanted the style of the first crop (i.e. nothing in the foreground) but the shape of the second crop (more panoramic). I can't be bothered (and more to the point I don't think I have the skills!) to try to clone out the rock and replace it with more hills, but if I did then that would achieve the sort of effect I'd be looking for in the secne. Hope you find it interesting! www.LensesForHire.co.uk
