I took my camera to our state fair Saturday night, but with 180,000 people around a tripod was going to be too obtrusive to get some of the little longer exposures I was thinking of trying.I decided to use my monopad and go for some candids and just tried to capture the mood. Are these interesting at all or do I just like them because I had fun doing this? I put these here rather then in a sharing thread in order to get some c+c. Thanks.

Very nice shots. I especially like the water gun one. I went to the fair out here in Orange County a couple weeks ago, but did not get anything as nice as that. What were you shooting with and what was your technique (f/stop, ss, iso)? They look really nice for what looks like ambient light.

Thanks Rad. I used my 30D.The top one was with my cheap 50mm f1.8 at 1/200 sec. wide open. For the money I really like this lens. The others were with my 28-105,at f5.6 with shutter speeds of 1/25,1/100,and 1/13 in 2,3,and 4. ISO 400. I had just bought my first monpod two weeks ago and it really came in handy. Did you have many people coming up to you asking to take their pictures? I had quite a few. The ones in my posts did not know I was shooting them until after.
