So im still playing with this split tone technique and really liking the outcome. Im not sure about the vertical boarders though, what do you think? Get rid of them, a different crop, leave them, you tell me.

Thanks! I shot at f8 and metered for the grass, but most of the "magic" happens in post processing.

Editing was done by her. And yes I know the horizon is tilted, gotta watch out for that.

So the other day I was able to shoot some people again, after being gone for about a month or so. I tried to incorporate what i have been learning about landscape photography/ processing into this shot to give it a dreamy dynamic look. I also considered adding borders to this but decided not to. Anyway, any input you guys have would be helpful, thanks!

I got this lens about two months ago and have ran it through some very low light situations. I was worried with how it would all work out but I was wrong to even give it a thought. I love this lens and am very happy with the shots I've gotten from shows. This and I don't even have the VC version! So I totally think it is worth the money and I hope to find other Tamron alternatives to L glass in the future. In this case all the research I put into this purchase totally paid off.

From what I've been reading, the non vc version is the way to go.

I'm still trying to figure out if I should go with this lens or save up more for a Canon 17-40mmL

just got my lens in and did some test shots in our weedy backyard. I am pretty impressed so far, can't wait to get out and take more photos later.

this one seems a tad bit OOF, i was doing it manually because the AF was not catching on to the flower.

Friends I got my 50D with this lens and sorry for the late reply. I tested alot photos but the lens appears softer and not sharp to me :(.

Here is one of test shots straight out of camera.
1st one original
2nd one 75%crop

Focused to eye;
32mm; f2.8; 1/640sec; ISO 100
cropped by picasa3

As my brother back from USA so I couldn't return it. I will take some tests of back or front focus issue, if it is there I can correct from my 50D or else it is my bad luck.:cry:
