Hurricane mk1 R4118, this genuine battle of Britain aircraft flew 49 "sorties" and had 5 victories in the bofb , was damaged late 1940 and went to India as a trainer in 1943.

oh my, 1/60 @f16 at 300mm? awesome! huge prop-blur & great detail. Bet that Fury sounded lovely too...


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5

Thanks for the comments guys , Joseph I always try to shoot the prop plane @ less than 1/125 now to try to get the prop and or background blur and yes that Bristol radial engine in the sea fury sounded awesome and completly different to the usual RR merlins and griffons of the likes of the spits and hurries

Thanks Frank , I practised the low ss pans a lot and i'm pleasd with how it works:D as for the blue skies well they do say variety is the spice of life , and i really like the old look.

I practised the low ss pans a lot

I'd planned on doing some of that with the 100-400 before our show, but had a WinDoze crash the day before & didn't, so I botched up all my slow pans. I so hate "living & relearning"! :D
