A friend at work who lives in the neighborhood was telling me about this pair of pea hens.
He says they make walking his dogs a bit tedious.

Pea hens are the females and pea cocks are the males. It used to a running gag to tell people at the zoo that pea cocks do not lay eggs, just the pea hens. (OK terrible joke). Dennis
