So what did you sell to get this one?
I hate letting go of a lens once I've had it a while...the only one I ever sold was my 75-300 USM II and even that was hard to do!

I was privileged enough to use this lens for a job last week, and although it was rented..all I can say is ohmygosh - sharpest damn lens I'll ever look through

it's a bit on the heavy side, but a little workout never hurt anyone

Or are you going L-prime Canonese? It reminded me of the Vapours song, going Japanese. LOL. Well, I don't have a prime 300 F2.8, does the Sigma 120-300 F2.8 @ 300 count? I have pics galore with that lens on board, unfortunately most are still as shot and need to go thru the ringer (post processing). Before we go any further, you have to show us your wares when they show up!

Welcome to the world of progressively heavier lenses. The Sigma I have is 5 3/4 lbs...I know this is not much compared to the 300-800 or the 500, but you get the drift.

No 70-200 IS? How dare you, Dante!!! I guess I'll have to bring it by when I make my plans to come on up. Still looking at my schedule on when would be best for me to make my ventures.

So i take it you sold the 24-70?

So then is a 200 2.8 or 200 1.8 going to jump into the collection after the 50 1.2?
