I never knew it existed! SWEET!!!!!!! It looks like it has a bigger front element than the 300mm. I bet that sucker was EXPENSIVE!

Wish list: 200mm 1.8, 300mm 2.8, 24-70mm L, 30D (40D if it comes out before I buy a 30D) and a MacBook Pro 2 Gig RAM PS III ;)

Dante, I fear you are my hero ;) If I keep at this buying stuff, in about 10 years I end up with as much great stuff as you, but I'm starting slow. I'm getting my 70-200 f4 tomorrow as well. Can't wait. The brown guy is going to get attacked again and I have cookies for him. :)

Busterboy, you are one handsome fella. (Don't worry, I don't play for that team:) )

But not quite as handsome as that set of boxes and lenses you got there. A truly beautiful sight to behold. I just wish I was holding some of 'em.

Hey, Danteit's almost Thursday here on the east coast. Too bad you still got to wait a day and a half, at least. Should have had it shipped to me. It would have been here already and I'd be giving it tender loving care.:p

Hey DANTE, I noticed you added the 300 f2.8 to your gear list already. A bit premature, no? Remove it at once or I'll contact a moderator and report you.   ;)

too bad that the 200mm was stopped because it used leaded glass and the new chief refuses to use leaded glass in any of their consumer poducts (note that EOS is in the consumer section)... if not you would have spent even more money on a lens that becomes a 280mm f2.5 when you add a 1.4x tc (hell, only 20mm shorter but third stop faster than 300IS)..

can anyone say credit card debt? ;)

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

Dante, as Calzinger, D Servo, Sumozebra, Niftybobby and others who have joined me in days of shooting can attest, I'm not a scary guy at all. I'm a pussycat with a huge heart. I'll do anything for a friend, including borrow and use their 300 f2.8 for as long as they want. I'll treat it like a baby.

Did you get it yet?

mark
