Hahah, NEVER. ITs a fast prime. It lives up to the rep of being the fastest AF lens Canon makes. Lightening on a 1 series body. I had to treat myself to a new carbon fiber Tripod and expensive head to take the stress off ownership of this lens creates.

Here are some unedited 2X TC shots of one of my lovely bank tellers. I'm gonna get her to model.

Dante, it goes without saying, I am a consumate kidder/jokester.

So, joking aside, and as we jews like to say: Mazel Tov. You should have many, many years good health and immense fun shooting with it.

It must warm the cockles of your heart to see how popular you are around here, and deservedly so. This thread is huge.

Way to go, buddy.

mark

PS: Oh, as far as driving out there in three days, I tend to fall asleep behing the wheel on my half hour drive home from work. And with today's gas prices, and my gas sucking VW Touareg, It'd cost almost half the price of the lens for me to drive there. Nope, when I make it out there, it'll be by plane.

PetKal is off elsewhere pondering the advantages of the 50/1.2L. But I suspect that he'll be here in a bit.

I had some PM conversations with him the other day :D
He's still the same old Peter and still looking out for me and trying to get a 85L back in my line-up.

Nice shots with your new toy, Dante! Open House for us is next Monday and Tuesday. I got my 70-200 f4 today and it's a beauty, very light, very fast.
