In preparation of a book shoot this weekend I picked up another softbox today and decided to familarize myself with it tonight. I thought I'd share these here. Her name is Boo and she's my 14 month old Weimaraner(German hunting dog), and best bud .

The shoot consisted of my Elinchrom RX strobes (2 of them) an Elinchrom 53" Octodome on the key (dead on at a 45 degree drop) and my new Chimera Super Pro Plus (Silver) Softbox at about a 15 degree pitch 80 degrees to camera right as the fill. To exaggerate her features and get in really close I just grabbed my MkIIn with the 17-40L attached. ISO 100 at f/7.1; 1/200sec.

Only PP was a 16% Smart Sharpen in CS2.

I've always wondered how to properly pronounce 'Weimaraner'

The lighting is stellar. Great shots. The perspective of the first picture is particularly interesting.

Thanks All!

She's so much fun to play with and I don't know what she likes more; having her picture taken, or getting in my way "investigating", while I'm setting up the shot.

I actually end up using her quite a bit for lighting test shots, etc. she's a good sport.

Thanks for your kind words!
