Hi everyone,
Im looking at the possibility of a tilt shift lens, mostly because i just love the effect and figure it would be pretty useful in a variety of different circumstances.
I had considered the ts-e 45 but i think with the 1.6 crop it might be a tad to long so it would have to be the 24.
My question is basically is it any good? I would really apreciate any info users have on regards to its optical performance, especially light fall off, and chromatic abberation when fully tilted/shifted, i had a look at the lens image archive but there wasn't a great deal there.

Thanks :)

I like it. Haven't had the opportunity to explore it enough, but it is quite a nice lens. It even has that great "feel" of older, manual lenses. BTW, it is manual-focus, but if you press the shutter halfway, you'll get confirmation from the camera when it sees correct focus.

24 is a good width on full-frame if you're shooting city scenes and such. If that's your intention, I wouldn't go any longer.

Here's a couple of shots I took, just playing around with the lens downtown. Had I gotten started a bit earlier, I would have had the right light on the second shot. Oh well, I was just having fun.

It's quite the architecture lens, though the tilt/shift action takes some getting used to. You won't hurry through shots, that's for certain!
