I'm not competent to comment technically on wedding photos - and there are lots of people here who are. So I'll concentrate on #1. Here are a few thoughts.

  • The picture has a horrible green cast.
  • The child's lips look artificially red - if that's the "real"colour then I'd desaturate it.
  • Depth of field is far too small: eyes are in focus but tip of nose isn't.
  • I don't think the composition works at all. Yes by all means experiment, but surely cutting off the corner of the eye is a complete no-no.
What on earth were you trying to achieve with this?

Thanks Stewart
#1 Is all intentional, the cast is cross processing (lomo konica film).
I attempting something different that’s all something other that the standard technical square portrait.

Thanks for your input

You've certainly achieved "something different"! It's not my cup of tea at all, though. Maybe I'm getting old and boring in preferring a "standard technical square portrait" to something like this. Or maybe the real issue is that it's very easy for "different" to mean "worse", but much harder for it to mean "better", or even "just as good, but different". It would be interesting to know what other people think of this.
