I use it sometimes, sparingly. I often blend it at about 50% opacity with the original.

Do you mean midnight black, or is there a midnight B&W that I can't find?

I have been using the Midnight Sepia action for a couple of years now. Rather than people, I find it most effective on cityscapes. Here is one shot from the Space Needle in Seattle, looking south.

Rad

And, while I was at it, I also used a Dragan filter and Urban Acid (Which is pretty close to a E6/C41 cross process.)

And lastly (since it is still on the image server) is the Midnight Sepia version that I layered, straightened and boosted the color in. This I eventually printed.

I agree with Tim, whenever I use an action like this (and also the Kubota actions) I always turn done the opacity on the effected layer.

I've never used midnight sepia (or my version of it anyway) on a b&w, only on colour. I'll have to try converting one to b&w and see what it does.

Hey Jeff, no lie... I saw a guy at work who looked as though he could be your twin brother. Freaked me right out.
