You're meeting with a group of friends all of whom are real camera buff's. Each own a different marque of camera and own their respective brands top equipment.

You're there to represent Canon and are allowed to take 3 lenses to showcase the best of the best of Canon.

You don't need to cover all bases, even if the lenses overlap this is ok. You're simply presenting Canon's finest.

Which lenses would you choose? (and you can include your chosen body as well :))

200mm f/1.8L
85mm f/1.2L

and now it's tough.. my gut was exactly the same as Busterboy, so add the 300mm in here, but I'm also thinking we need something wider and more manageable like the 35mm f/1.4L, and I hate to see the 135mm f/2L unrepresented here.

I was with Busterboy too. Hard to beat combination of lenses I guess.

CDS, it surprises me that you don't include the 500 f/4.

Since others also make some great lenses similar to some of Canon's how about including something not common (yet great) like the 90 TS-E?

85 1.2 II
400 2.8
1200 5.6

I'm recommending these lens based on pictures I've seen taken with them (and of them) since I haven't touched any these lens in person. If it had to be lenses I've played with it would be the ones I own (24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L & 50 1.4)

I would take the 1DsMkII (just because people are jazzed by it), and :

35L
85L
200 1.8L

If they wanted longer stuff, or zooms, it'd be:

24-70L
70-200L IS
300 2.8L IS

If they want super telephoto:

200 1.8L
300 2.8L IS
500 f/4L IS

If they just want the best Canon has, and it has to be currently produced models:

35L
85L
300 2.8L IS
