the lens picture looks tighter then it really is.you have a good 1.5" when the camera/lens rests across the top.

Hmmmm.... enough room for a Kenko 1.4x to be added on, perhaps?? I love it! :)

Okay this forum is really dangerous, i really want to buy a Crumpler bag now, SoundsGood what made you decide on the 7mdh, i know you have been around here asking questions as have I, did you consider a smaller one? I am think i need two now, one to hold ALL my stuff including laptop for when i travel and one i can put just some stuff in for day trips.

Does anyone out there use a combo like this. I REALLY like the crumpler series and want one BAD

It was a very long process of elimination. ;)

That's the conclusion I've come to as well. I'll be using the 7 MDH for all my stuff, or for when I want to take a lot of stuff. And I plan on getting a smaller bag for some stuff that I'd take on a day trip.

For the smaller bag:
I already bought a Kata H-14, but might send it back. I'll probably end up with a Crumpler 5 or 6 MDH -- or maybe a small Domke bag?

Ideally I'd like something small, yet large enough to hold a mounted 70-200 f/4 (just in case I wanna do that). I'm not sure the Domke will handle that request, but it looks like the Crumpler can swing it.

hmmmm. what to do, what to do, I would really like to know if my gear plus my laptop would fit in the 7mdh and haven't been able to get a straight answer, I don't want to buy the bigger MDH and then have to get another bag that can hold the laptop AND my gear as well...........decisions decisions........

Maybe I should get the 5mdh and the Brazillian:lol:

efroten, thanks for the link, I remember reading the beginning of that thread, I guess I didn't just go far enough :-)

It look then that you could fit a body and two lens' with a laptop in the 7mdh if you had to.

BH has the 7 mil's back in stock today. I had registered to have them notify me when they are back in stock, but I beat them to it. I noticed this morning very early that they were in stock, so I ordered one right away. Should be here tuesday, so I will add my thoughts next week. I ordered the Oatmeal/Brown bag for a carry all/camera bag. Going to carry it to work every day with my camera and whatever else i may need (lunch, etc.). I was using my lowepro toploader 75AW for this, but it wasnt enough room for anything else I may want to carry.

I've also ordered the same bag a few minutes ago. If anyone else is reading this and wants one head over to B&H quick before they're sold out again!

I just picked up the 7mh last week and love it. Perfect for trips around the city. It would not be good for a laptop as well from what I can see. I would recommend the Bazillion Dollar Home for that but from what I can tell it is very large. I bought a Naneu Pro for my business travel so I can carry a laptop and kit. Not bad, I like the Crumpler better, but the Naneu pro is very workable for business travel and is half the price of the Crumpler Bazillian Dollary home.

Super Deal Just got my newest bag, a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home Camera Bag...

I used CajunGal's lead "Photoco has great prices on their Crumpler bags! They also sell other brands, but I didn't check if they're priced as low as the Crumplers". Enter Promo Code "@SALE" and Save $$....
LINK:
http://store01.prostores.com …es?category=Crumpler+Bags (external link)

The price listed on their web site is retail... Apply the "sales code" and the price will be calculated at around $100 plus shipping...Charge it to your credit card and the price is recalculated from Canadian Dollar to US Dollar values... It ships from Vermont... I got mine for a grand sum of under $104.00US, and received it in 3 business days...
I like it:
I am able to carry;
1 30D in Camera Armour w a Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS attached...
1 Canon 400mm 5.6L
1 Canon 24-70mm
1 50mm 1.4
1 85mm 1.8
1 Canon 25mm extension tube
There is room for stacking another small/medium lens, a flash and possibly a thin lap top...

However, just like almost all other brands, I wish it was just 1 inch taller... The Camera and Lens attached, and the 400mm Lens are just slightly higher than the main body of the bag, and the flap covers them nicely, but just slightly tight...

Eventually, my next bag purchase will be the Slingshot 300, for on the run photography...

looks great and it has plenty of room
mine has 1dmk2n with lens mounted (pick one), and 24-70 and 70-200 sigma f2.8s, sigma 10-20, 2x converter, canon 50f1.8 and 580ex speedlite with stofen cup
assorted extras, like memory cards, manuals, batteries, remote release (which i just realised is pointless, because its for the 350d which doesnt live in the bag) small torch and pocket knife
