How did you get onto that side of the falls? I've never really explored that area much but I've only ever been to the other side of the river!
Hi hollerz....if you park in the HighForce carpark, instead of taking the normal path along the river....just a couple of yards down the hill (main road) is another gate heading down quite a few steep steps. At the bottom of those steps and following the field brings you to a bridge allowing you to cross....down river takes you to LowForce and up river to HighForce. Carrying on past HighForce, you can also take in Bleabeck falls and Cauldron Snout....I look forward to seeing your shots.

What can I say...well presented, well exposed, nicely processed the colours look very natural and a sky to die for! If this sets the standard for Highforce then I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us with Bleabeck force. Well done Ken it's a stunning shot.
Thank you very much.......A huge compliment from someone of your talent and skill with a camera. I wouldn't hold your breathe for those of Bleabeck though.....although they are better than I originally thought after taking them.... I think a second visit could greatly improve on those I currently have.

The water over the falls looks thunderous evidenced by the colour.
I have seen pictures with both sides of the falls flowing, with the rhs being nearly as strong as this here. With the introduction of CowGreen reservoir some years ago now, it's not as frequent.....but is still prone to flash floods and, in the likely event...the gates at the top of the falls are closed. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe there was a helicopter rescue took place just a couple of weeks ago when a father and child got stranded in the middle of the river???

Hope you've got some more.
So do I Cameron, although I don't think they would be up to the standard of this site. Not had much time to process any others but after just having a brief look through them, i'm not that confident....especially after seeing David's Bleabeck pics

Are these the High Force falls that are in the Yokshire Dales?
These falls are on the River Tees near Middleton-in-Teesdale County Durham.

Did you get wet? Judging by the sky, it looks like the heavens were about to open!
No Trevor, it's all about timing, that and a fast pair of shoes.....
I have been to HighForce 5 or 6 times this year already, although this time not specifically for HighForce and every time I have experienced either snow, hail, rain or strong wind that I am now accustomed to the very quick changeable conditions around that area.
Thanks again for all the comments.
Ken.
