The riverfire last night was awesome. I was on the balcony of parliament house and these are my first attempts shooting fireworks (apart from some local ones that were boring). All photos shot at ISO100 and manual.

parliament house?? Nice photos justin. Had u panned a little to the right, i would have been one of those dark blobs in the foreground of southbank!!

Well done Justin, these are very good shots all of them. I like the next to the last shot best of all for colour and composition.

Justin, the streaks are squiggly. Were you using lens with IS? Did not switch it off? May I know what lens were you using?

Thanks, and yes there was a sea of people all along the river banks and bridges. It was an awesome show.

I was just using the kit lens for the 350d (i wish i had an IS lens lol). They were on a tripod but I don't have a remote switch or anything and the self timer was frustrating me because while it was beeping, the fireworks would be going off but then when it came to the photo, they stopped. So sometimes I might have bumped it while I took the photo.
