Well I guess it's a start, hardly made any money but thats okay. The sponser of my daughters soccer team wanted to hang them in there restaraunt and that's what makes me feel proud. They were happy with the photos and were looking forward to getting more next year. I have other parents that wanted pics also but getting a hold of them after the season is not easy. I just set up an account on SmugMug and hope to organize it so next year the parents can look at them online and let me know what they want, much easier than doing the guess work for them. Like I said you have to start somewere.

Congrats! I hope to be in that position someday. It feels good to know that someone else likes your work enough to pay for it even if you aren't really making a profit.

I also sold my first photos today, too! Cheers bro'! I went to an 1812 battle and music reinactment, which I have been a part of for 14 years. This time I showed up as a photographer instead. Snapped a pile of photos, put up a gallery on the web, and sent an email out to all the staff with a link to the gallery. In less than one day, I've sold 4 photos.

And yes, it feels great. Getting lots of good compliments, too.

May I ask how much you sold some of the photos for?
