Ok so far the only pics i have seen from this lens on here are portraits, which is fair enough. However i recently put a post up saying which would be better 70-200F4 or 200-2.8, now i would ideally like to do street photography and what with winter fast approaching there is little light to shoot, which is fine it adds to the capture, but i want something that performs well in mid tele range in low - medium light, also something that can cope with say a nightime lantern parade through an old city centre.
I have been told the 135mmF2 is somethin to consider, has anyone got any thought or more importantly pictures to show me.

Ok i know we have tamron and sigma fans here, but i like the build quality of canon, and i think canon have fewer bad copies from their produciton line so i will stick with canon, also please no comments about the 70-2002.8LIS i know its a good lens but i will never pay that much for one ever!! some say its a bargain but to me its 1/3 of eos 1MkIIN.

I also shoot a crop body.- - - - - please help.
Oh i know i said the last post would be my last beforebuying a lens however the two first choice lenses are out of stock---- gutted! so now we are in 3rd place.

Please help i need to spend this money, spending money on new camera gear is what makes us happy, not knowing how to use it is what keeps us busy.
:)
Thanks, A.

i recently took some street scenes on holiday with my 85 L, round corfu town, i was very happy with the results. I have a friend who shoots street almost entirely with the 85 1.8 with terrific results. I don't know whether the focal length is too short for you?
It's a nice option though.

I think the 135L would make a great street lens, especially on a 1.6x crop camera
