I had a wander around a site not far from me yesterday - St Mary's Island, on the north east coast of England - and although there was little about, I came away with a few pictures I'm quite pleased with...
All taken with the 30D + 100-400mm.

Turnstone. These birds were reluctant to settle and come close, because there were quite a few people about, so I've gone with a "bird in its environment" composition rather than struggling to get the kind of extreme close-up shot we're all obsessed with!

Dunlin. I never tire of photographing these birds.

Dunlin. See the wet footprints behind the bird on the right?

Dunlin. Not particularly sharp, but I kinda like this picture anyway.
