Damn! that girl has some big, beautiful eyes!
Any of these done with the 85 prime? not looked at the data. Oversharpened...maybe a tad, but those eyes! wow!
Is there a bigger sister? (just kidding wife would kill me)
I like 'em. Yes I also love softbox but catchlights a wee bit too large for my taste. those eyes though...penetrating. Nice mate.Nice

2 EOS 1 mkII Dn's, 24-70 2.8L,70-200 2.8L,14 prime 2.8L,100 macro 2.8, metz, metz, and more metz...plus a whole load of other stuff that really is unimportant. It all about the picture, not the tool.
Had the 1ds for a few weeks then realised was overkill. Bought 5d and the 400mm instead.

I have to say that i saw these on another forum and didn't respond but i am here due to I believe that the eyes are SSOOOOO not oversharp. I tend to lead to nice, crisp, sharp features, ESP the eyes, ESP when you have flawless features and skin!!!! When subjects have some acne or some imperfections you may want to give a bit of gaussian blur.
It is sooooooo funny to read post after post on how people are having problems with their sharpness on their lens, or their body response to sharp pics...yada, yada, yada.

NOW, you get a beautiful, perfectly exposed pic, and sharp ta boot and all anyone can comment on is "Oh, too sharp".

GREAT PICTURE, PERFECT!!!!

Beautiful young lady? Is she single(kidding)?

A little oversharpened. Usually 100-150%, .3, 0 will do the job(if you shoot on neutral settings in JPG or RAW).

You have a beautiful daughter. Great eyes. So does she get them from you or her father?

Lisa you hit the nail bang on the head. Sometimes looking at the details that make up a picture can mask the picture itself. If you had only 5 seconds to look at this shot , most people would say its blooody gorgeous. Few years back, when my kids were younger, I would have paid you to shoot them (nothing to do with me being lazy and sick of taking pics you understand!!) its all subjective remember. These are only opinions and there is never any right or wrong no matter what anyone says. Some pics that get posted are completely hideous and awful mind you, but this is far from the case here.

they are nice pic, but i think the effects over did it, the lines on her leg are off, and the lines around her face and such just seem off.

Thanks for the comments everyone:)

Lisa- thank you, I also am drawn to sharp photos- but I can see that *maybe* I should erase back some of the details just a tad after I run my sharpen for web action...probably wont do it- to lazy when I am just posting for fun....lol:) They never get printed with this USM ran, but I must say they come out pretty darn sharp sootc with this lens:)

Grago- thank you, the eyes come from me:)

tfl!

BEAUTIFUL! I would only add I think these needed a background light to seperate her dark hair from the dark background. LOVE THE EYES!
