This grumpy little male stonechat clearly resented me wasting its valuable time with this photography nonsense!

As you can see, he only has one leg, but he's managing just fine - feisty little thing.

Canon 30D + 100-400mm @ 400mm, handheld, taken on 17 June 2006 at Blyth, NE England

Thanks all - I do like this picture!

They're great "photographer's birds", stonechats - usually very approachable, and in the habit of perching conspicuously as this one's doing.
