Something wierd is going on with her arm in #3, Looks like the contrast or saturation was cranked if thats the way they came out of the camera, or maybe too much USM? I just donno! The pose in #2 is very nice, #1 I have to agree with everyone about the tree and I might add you could have lowered your perspective to get more eye level, #3 is a nice pose but could use a little tweaking, have her turn her body just a little more towards the rail and then rotate her upper body and head to be looking at you. One more thing, you might leave a little more room above the heads, as I have found parents like to order large prints or just 8x10s and you are gonna want room to get a good crop expecially with out chopping off tops of heads. (makes you look really unprofessional!) Other than those few things I think you did a super job for your 2nd try at Srs. and 1st time w/ a female!

Thanks for the comments. All of the pictures are cropped to wallet size. I have 8x10 and 5x7 crops also.

I do agree with everyone about the tree. What can I say, it's her and her mother's favorite shot.

What are you seeing on her arm in the 3rd shot? She had a bit of scarring on her right arm (kinda looked like she got scratched) . Could that be it?

I do see what you mean about turning a bit more and will give that a try on the 17th.

Cheers

the eyes do look overcooked, her face is very pale in comparison which is odd. Ive often noticed that people have chosed " as their favourite " pics that I technically might not be happy with... once she is ..its all good :)

Hi, I really liked the last one. Even tho the tree is behind her. I am taking a class on senior portraits at the end of Sept. I am really looking forward to it.

I think that I figured out what is wrong with her arm in #3, I think it is the shadow created by the flash causing a darkening on the inner part of her arm/shirt.

Just maybe....

Okay, so I'm a bit slow ;) I was looking at her right arm. I see the shadow you're talking about. and I think I agree with your flash theory.

Thanks for all the comments!

Cheers

The second one is her best but the third one puts you best.
