Took these in my favorite esturay, I had seen these in person, only in books. Not as good as Sindri's breeding shots, but I was excited to find them.

Thanks Kawwuser, for your comments
Thanks Fee, it is a rare bird for me, I had only seen ones at in the Gulf of California, did not know they were coastal.
Thanks Joe, I trying to find more time for shooting. It was worth my time I got pictures of two new birds the phalarope and a bittern. I will post the bittern later.

Nice shots! That's a good bird to add to the life-camera list! The first and third are my favorites. I hope to see some of these this winter. I missed a big fallout last Saturday. Storm-driven seabirds were close to shore in Cape May Point. I could KICK myself for missing 100+ phalaropes, all 3 species of jaegers and Sooty, Bridled, Black and Sandwich Terns.:(

Great series Dennis, this Phalarope looks ever so cute in the water especially in the first shot. Congrats in finding this bird and then sharing it with us.

Thanks Reigh, I have been taking pictures for one year starting last December, hoping to catch many more new ones.

Excellent shots. They are always twitching and turning so it can be very difficult to get good shots even if you use high speed. Well done indeed. :-)

Best regards

Thanks Sindri, for the kind remarks. I loved your great shots of the breeding phalaropes.
