Walking along the beach the other day looking for something to shot when I came across this strange looking rock formation, looks like a facial profile to me, what do ya think?

The second shot is my first attempt at a slow shutter speed splash.

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

Tv 1/8 sec, Av f/32, ISO 100. For the second shot

The second one is outstanding Frank _ the first one has a little too much blue in the horizon and the white wave coming on shore is extra bright on my monitor.

You're right Frank, that first one definitely looks like a face with some green hair. ;) :D Really a neat shot.
The second one, IMO, is one for the framers. That's a great shot.

Your "guy" looks like he has more hair than I do :):).
Very nice shots.

In my opinion Frank, the 2nd image is a dream. Perfect composition and excellent timing! I thought it could do with a slight adjustment to the levels to bring out the contrast, hope you don't mind!?

WOW! #2 is probably the best wave/splash shot I've ever seen! WOW!

2nd is great, but slightly over-saturated I think.

1st indeed looks like a profile shot!

Pic 2 is great, but the sky seems a little off on both (colour wise), the reworking is a bit over saturated.

Well Frank , that 2nd one is simply superb.
Everything in the frame is great , from the comp.to the rock formation and colours and the shutter speed for that freezing action of the waves.
Well done my friend, thats a stunner.

Thanks Triumph for your kind remarks.
Shutter speed is 1/8 sec. Apature f/32, ISO 100

Thanks Bluedog, Robert, Jim, Kac, Adam, Neilyb, Dimitri
for the kind words and the constructive comments.
I know the sky is a little oversaturated but there wasn't much I could
do with washed clouds and a small amount of blue to work with. I had a Cokin
graduation filter in my bag but forgot to use, oh well...the next time.

Totalbeginner, your editing looks pretty good.

I think both shots are great. #1 sure does look like a profile and #2 is just outstanding!

Good work, Frank, especially the wave shot. It is unique.
