I'm going to go on a trip around the mountains (for 3 days) with a group of friends, a long walk there, set up camp, etc.
I'm not sure whether I should buy a Compactflash card, as I currently use a 4gb microdrive. I'm afraid that the microdrive may get damaged due to all the walking and bumps, and due to the cold weather and alititude.
Secondly, I guess I'll have to keep the spare batteries wrapped up warm, and maybe even take out my camera battery once in a while. Any tips on this, or anything else than relates to this?
I'm considering bringing my 50 /1.8, or should I get the tamron 28-75 a bit early and go with that? I fear the 50 may be too long for landscapes but I dont mind losing £70 on the trip.
P.S I've got an EF 28-80mm collecting dust in my draws, maybe I could bring that? I haven't used it because of my two primes blow it away, and I've never seen anyway for anything that wide or long ... a few steps back or forward.
Thanks
