Jessops are generally pricey, they take advantage with things like memory as most customers won't think to look online or elsewhere. BUT use the 10% discount on http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ (external link) and suddenly Jessops are cheapest for many things.

Yeah camerapricebuster does offer very good prices. Was trying to work out how for the 600mm f4 £5309.99 was 10% less than £5789.95, looks like 8% to me, then realised they were using the jessops online price of £5899.99 which makes more sense. Scary thing is that jessops online seems to be the 2nd or 3rd most expensive price a lot of the time.

I guess the good thing about this site is it does let you compare different prices from different sites very easily. Then I guess its up to you to work out whats more important, local shops or saving money by internet shopping. It may be worth asking if your local shop can match the price, but I doubt many of them will be able to. It's just the thin edge of the wedge.

All the best

Never used them mail order (I go in personally) but they're extremely friendly and always help me out when there's a problem.
