Quite a heavy crop and dull conditions so not the best of shots but it shows the huge paddle like wings of the Lapwings.
These Sanpipers don't half shift though!

Great shots alan, the first one I like the best.
Regarding the lapwings the RSPB has recommended to the government to classify this bird as endangered, they did this in the past couple of days.
In recent years the lapwing has declined by up to 50% in the UK.
