One of My Favorite Herons -TCH

The tri-colored heron is one of my favorites to photograph. The colors of the bird is very pretty. They are not as big as the others herons with the Green Heron being smaller. This is a juvinille as can be seen by the colors on the back wings with alot of tan.brown present. He was hunting for a small fish in the pond, so he did not seem to mind me at all. :)

Yes he went for a few and came up empty. He practically ignored me during his chase for food.

Yes he grabbed a few small fish during this set. He was all over the pond and when he grabbed the fish, he was not in the best of lighting.
