Surprisingly good considering the price. Only got rid of mine when I'd really got the wide bug and bought the Sigma 12-24 so I could go even wider.
Bit soft in the corners but not a probem on a cropped sensor camera - mine was great on the D30 and 10D but I did notice the corners more on the 5D.

I used to have one before I got the Canon 17-40/4L. Really liked it - excellent sharpness, contrast and colors.

At its price point, this lens is hard to beat.
