Yep I'd have to agree with Dante, your WB looks like it is set on daylight and used indoors with tungstone lighting?

Congrats and enjoy! It's a great little piece of plastic, isn't it?

Go ahead and shoot at f/1.8 for a while. It's human nature and I did it, too. ;)

Now I stop it down except in extreme darkness and find the sharpness much improved, especially with the XT focus characteristics. f/2.5 is about as wide as I use it anymore.

Congrats! Look at that technique craddling the lens so tenderly. Being an old Rebel user- I'm amazed at how small (and uncoforatble) the Rebel XT looks. (either that or you have very big hands!)

And yea, big hands. Very big in fact. lol
Stretched from thumb tip to middle finger tip is a little over 10 inches... :)
