Yep I'd have to agree with Dante, your WB looks like it is set on daylight and used indoors with tungstone lighting?

Congrats and enjoy! It's a great little piece of plastic, isn't it?

Go ahead and shoot at f/1.8 for a while. It's human nature and I did it, too.

Now I stop it down except in extreme darkness and find the sharpness much improved, especially with the XT focus characteristics. f/2.5 is about as wide as I use it anymore.

Congrats! Look at that technique craddling the lens so tenderly. Being an old Rebel user- I'm amazed at how small (and uncoforatble) the Rebel XT looks. (either that or you have very big hands!)

Stretched from thumb tip to middle finger tip is a little over 10 inches...
