Well, picked up a pair of strobes today and wow, I have lots to learn. Used a white muslin background and haven't quiet figured out how to make it all white so I had to dodge it in photoshop a little. Im pretty satisfied with my first attempt.

These are of my two younger cousins who came over today to help me test the lights.

What do you think?

Well, there was no shadow, but you could see a few wrinkles in the muslin. I just photoshoped those out those yes.

Nice job! WTG!

I have been thinking about trying out studio photography but the lights scare me a little. LOL

What kind did you get?

Wow! For a first timer these are wonderful. I discovered the other day that if your background isn't as pure white as you would like, load it into Photoshop, click on the Magic Wand tool, click on the background, then go to Image>Adjustments>Levels and slide the slider until it is as bright as you want (the subject will stay the same.)

Really good job with your new strobes! I like the pose and expression in #4. She's a cutie.
