Canon 75-300 4.0-5.6 III USM

So can every one post there best and worst pictures with the canon 75-300 iii usm at various focal lengths Im trying to decide whether to get it or not

Unless you are hooked on the Canon brand name ( no shame in this !) then you would be far better advised to look at the sigma 70-300 APO macro. Optically it is far better reviewed than the Canon 75-300 versions, with or without USM

As steve says the sigma Apo is better lens.
The sigma is a good allrounder with no real bad points. The canon usm has faster focus speed (good for sports) but is quite soft at the long end and has no macro ability

yeh, i had that lens, returned it in two days and got the tamron 70-300 macro, far better optics, hunts the same in low-light
