Holy smokes!! Even on my crappy at-work monitor, these look top-notch...tip top, in fact.

That is one sweet, sharp lens.

Congrats once again :)

beautiful shots with a beautiful lens. From my understanding it comes with a 52mm drop in filter holder. If you don't mind me asking do you use a polarizer with the lense or not.

What's in a name? Out with a couple of friends one day, they razzed me, "Oh great. This is like being with Ansel Adams. " Name morphed into Anselina, and it just stuck.

Great shots! Detail is fabulous!! Now how can I explain this need to the wife!!! Thanks for sharing. Any lens that can make a pigeon ( sky rat ) look good is great.....of course the skills of the person holding the lens helps!!

Dante, do I detect a hot pixel or two on your sensor? Not to worry, it might be a lens aberation. You better send it to me right away. I'll perform a battery of tests on that lens, the likes of which have never been done before. And 'cause I like you, I ain't talking no rush job either. I'll get it back to you in a year or two. Okay? I'll even pay the return shipping.

Just ducky.

They look sweet - the 300/2.8 is top-notch, and yours is in good hands. :)

Thanks Guys. Lens is fantastic.

There is a drop in polarizer. I dont have this yet. Need to get one.

I am not nearly half as skilled as most on this site. I just shoot 1000 frames and these were the 3 that were in focus.

I add a little usm to all my shots 100,.3,0 as my sensor really demands it when shooting raw. If anyone is interested I could post come un usm shots later.

I see some CA on the bird.

Nice shots.

ROFL...

Dante - I think you need to be elevated from a lens collector to an artist. The message is loud and clear... and the masses are affected by it.

There was one famous photog who did a gallery photographing random household objects to make viewers ask: "what is the purpose of more photographs, in a world already saturated with pictures?"
