I took a family portrait of my cousin and her family several weeks ago. It was only the second family portrait I have attempted. I had a lot of help from some of the POTN members when I posted a question in "Talk About Photography" section about exposing for my cousins husband white Navy uniform. They gave me some good tips that helped me. You can see more here. (external link)

As always, C&C welcomed.

Thanks rescue951. These were taken at the McNay Art Museum. It is probably one of the best place to take portraits in San Antonio.

Thank you Suzy. I don't have studio set up so all my portraits will be taken outdoors. I will still need a lot of practice with exposure. I have learned a lot here, which helps.

These are all nice. I especially like the first two family portraits- great expression and poses. Lighting is very flattering. Well done- I'm sure they are very happy with these.

Sorry to disagree....

Art, I've seen your other work and I truly believe that you are better than these show.
The shots are ...."okay"... but they don't "wow" me.

I thought they were too centered. Although they don't look like snapshots, if you would have taken a little more time with them I think you could have produce better shots.

That said, at least the clients liked them, which is what matters.
