Lonnie: We'd love to see some of your band shots if you can share.

I honestly don't think I got anything share-worthy, but I did put a few in the gallery of photos from the fair that I just got online. The band shots start here: http://****/elp2y (external link)

My cat loves to pose, the dog however licks the lens and then pants all over it fogging it up and THEN nudges it out of the way so he can lick my face.

My kid is a super ham tho.

That's the U2 lookalike band, right? You posted one in TPBM (I think) not too long ago.

74 and 76 are two of my favorites. I think you did an AWESOME job! And you should be very proud of those pictures. I bet the band LOVES them!

Night Crissa!

No, they don't. I am hard on myself. I know that. I also know when my photos are utter crap. There are three or four in that gallery I'd deem acceptable, but I wouldn't post any of them in the Performance Arts section here on POTN...

They sound exactly like U2. It's almost scary how well they have that sound down. Like I said in the caption for that first photo, I went to investigate because I was sure I heard Bono singing. Not only does he look like him, but he sounds identical!

Yep, I posted a picture of Jason a few days ago..

Wow, big big percentage of those shots where great, Lonnie. If I was in a band (yeah, right!), I'd be happy with those shot. From what you told me, I was expecting them all to be dark and blurred. You fibber, they're great.

I've also been pretty busy (what with family stuff etc.). I'm trying to build up my smugmug galleries, which means me having to go through all my shots, picking up the good ones and re-doing the PP work on the highest res version. There's not much you've not seen me re-post before, but slightly better PP work...

I showed some of those tiger prints (the one's I did for Cat) to my partner's brother. He didn't beleive at first that I took them, which is nice in a naive kind of way.

But, I'd much rather be told that my work's crap. Then at least I'll have something to improve upon.

Going off to my firms annual party tonight, so I'll be in full Tux. Won't be taking my 30D (too afriad it'll get dropped in someone's beer), so my little Sony P&S will have to take duties. It'll be a bit of a muted affair for our department as we're going through the process of off-shoring some of our processes, which will result in redundancies.

I'll try and start working on some product/still life shots this weekend for a camera club assignment. I've got ideas in my head about what I want to acheive. Not too sure if reality matches my mental expectations, but here's hoping!!

Her favorite is fresh trimmed hoof.

Back when we had the dairy farm our dog Myra loved it when the hoof trimmer came. Mmmmm, mmmm, mmm....it was tasty treat time.

Wow, our company isn't that formal. I'm afraid if they were no one would show up.

Lonnie - Bands are brutal to shoot. Don't be to hard on yourself, you did well for being an impromptu shoot. Bands are brutal. Lights are unpredicatble, all the gear and mikes are generally placed where it is difficult to get a good angle, backgrounds are so varied, etc. Hopefully you can get a planned shoot next time to where you can plan to have your fastest lenses, get free run for positioning yourself at various angles. Possibly even on the stage sidelines. You can also get some interesting shots as the band is setting up and tearing down. Try getting them as they are doing sound checks, before they start messing with the lights, then you might be able to do some "in your face" shots.

Lonnie I think there are plenty share worthy's here! Nice job, especially for not being prepared. I bet that lighting was a pain.
