That's cool, learn something new every day. I lived in Seattle for a few years back in the mid nineties. Visited Portland several times, nice place.;)

Well, heck, we're practically neighbors!
Don't care much for Portland myself, I'm more of a small-town girl.

Just trying to wrap up a few things in the office then off to have fun. Tomorrow is a short road trip to my granddaughters 1st birthday then on to chewing on some deep fried turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. That and a few other fun activities thrown in, I am sure looking forward to lots o' fun.

First birthdays are cool, I'm sure you'll be able to share some pic's with us? When is your Thanksgiving? I must try some deep fried turkey some year, I've heard it's awesome. Safe travels to ya.

Ya, I'm better suited to small towns as well. Not so much of the hustle and bustle.:)

Ah well. I'm out of here too.

Until tomorrow, then ;)

Goodnight all.

Beth & Terri- Actually a couple volunteer sunflowers just below the bird/squirrel feeder. I was hoping to catch them just the way I did.

I had some ideas of how I wanted my shots to come out and they didn't come anywhere *close* to what I was aiming for! But I liked them anyway.

I googled it and found this: Hold down Ctrl and Alt at the same time and press C Ctrl+Alt+C or
Hold down Alt and type 0169 on the number pad (right hand side of your keyboard) Alt+0169

The first method did not work but the second did © © ©, he he thats fun. I am easily amused:rolleyes:

Well phooey. I *knew* I couldn't do the Alt+0169 trick 'cause I'm on a laptop... I was hoping the Ctrl+Alt+C would work, but it doesn't.

And Cat!! Congrats on the new lens! I've got a Tokina 12-24 on my XT and just love it. Matter of fact.... I think that's the lens I'll be using for this weekend's photo challenge.

Well, back from the ball. All went well and we had a great time. Didn't manage to take many pictures (too busy enjoying myself!!).

Entertainment was pretty good, acrobats doing things on ropes and chucking each other around the place.

If you'd like to see the somewhat embarressing photos, they're at http://s13.photobucket.com …0Annual%20Ball/?start=all (external link)

They're a little small. You wouldn't get much bacon off of those two...

Hmmm... How did that happen? They didn't used to... I'll fix that.
