Hey Cat... I just watched your slideshow. Really beautiful! I love it.. the only CC I can offer is to slow the slides down a little bit more. I felt rushed and wanted to spend more time looking at the images, and they were moving faster than my emotional state of mind... :) Love the heart transition on the last slide... perhaps you can make the heart fade to black R E A L L Y slow and have it end up where the heart ends up on their lips... Can you do that? Like 15 seconds on the transition.

Also, don't know if you are selling this, but there is the grey area about music licsencing etc... I don't know all the in's and outs, but I always add a musical credit at the end of my shows.... and if I don't have a copyright release, I don't sell it, but give it as a gift with a minimum order... Just food for thought.. :)

Great job here though.. love some of the back-lit images and what a darling couple! :)

Kristy, thanks for looking, and for the CC. :D
I'll see what I can do about the last transition. The only way to slow the pics down is to remove a couple (keeping it to 1 song) but I can do that. ;)

As for the copywrite issues.... I'm not selling it. :D I have a folder of royalty free music to use for any shows I sell. This one is a gift. ;)
And the artist is noted on the cover sheet, just not in the video.

Thanks! :D

I realize that this is 3 posts in a row, but apparently everyone else besides me has a life on Friday nights.
I am finally finished processing the wedding shots from last weekend, and just finished the slideshow.
If any of you feel the urge to watch a wedding slideshow, I would love to get your opinions. It's just over 3 minutes long, so it won't take up too much of your time. :D
I don't meet with them till Tuesday, so anything can be changed till then.
You can watch it HERE (external link) (you might have to download the player, but it is quick and painless). If you get the page that has more than one show on it, click on Curtis and Alicia. What do you think?
I'm sharing it here rather than in the wedding forum, because I value your opinions, and I know you all will be truthful with me, but gentle. ;)

Thanks in advance. :D :D :D :D

Very nice Kat. I know how difficult putting one of these together is, you did a great job, they will be happy with the photographs and the slideshow. So many pictures and so little time, huh?:)

why don't you just add another song? With proshow you can fade it out when your slide ends and there are soooo many great songs to use... I do slideshows on all of my newborn sessions and usually always use 3 songs... it's about a 15 minute show, but priceless and almost always brings a tear to the mommy's eye... that's when I know that my work is worth something. :)

I usually use 2-3 songs in my shows, but they requested a one song show. Makes it a bit harder.
I think I will trim down the pictures in it though, so it doesnt move so fast.

Thanks for the input :D I have done infant shows before too, and they are very emotional. I bet yours are awesome with the pictures that you have.

Sorry... I'm comming across bossy or difficut... Not trying to... somthing always gets lost in the typing I think. I simply LOVE slideshows and I love the story telling a show gives and the emotions that we can evoke through the combination of music and visual beauty... I feel bad if you have to cut out photos because they are so pretty... beautiful really..... Sometimes I just say... it it's what they want then... okay... but often I do 2 versions of something because I'm a freaking perfectionist and cannot bring myself to do something that I think is not great... so I show 2 versions... their requested version, and my altered version... I'm really terrible... but usually, my version ends up winning so I guess that's the ego boost I need. I need help! I have issues! LOL

Your show is beautiful and I hope I didn't lead you to think I didn't like it... I'm just unusually emotionally attached to the whole presentation part... KWIM?

EDIT: Sweet Dreams Zane-boy.

Kristy, LOL. Ya know I love ya! I cherish your opinions, don't second guess yourself. :D

You know what's funny, I made 2 versions too, LOL. Glad I'm not the only one who does that, lol.
I too, do what they want, and what I want, and sometimes we can meet in the middle. ;)
