AWW, thanks! You're sweet... Nice to know I'm not the only obsessive freak out here.. :) I admire anyone who does a wedding... so much pressure and I just don't even want to go there... You make it look easy. :)

wow Pete that looks like quite the event!! What kind of work do you do?

Yep, it was quite a night. I'm a software developer for one of the largest law firms in the UK.

Cat, I checked out your wedding slideshow. I think it is fantastic! A beautiful couple with some well captured images. I would be proud and am sure the couple will be elated. Unlike Kristy and you I have zero skill at doing something like this, heck I still need lots of work at Photoshop PP. Maybe some day I can do this kind of stuff. I like the idea of going with a second version done the way you like it, even in my work we often do this kind of thing and because of our expertise (just as you with yours) can usually sell them on our version.

Well Done.

Thanks, Jim... Was pretty difficult to get any meaninful shots, what with the lighting, restriction on flash (as if my P&S would reach ANYWHERE), and the amount of beer flowing. Got some nice abstracts though, so I'm passibly happy with those..

Chris (Dylix) just checked in with me...
he said he is doing good, just abnormally busy. He misses us :D

Thanks for letting us know, Cat. Glad all is well.

I value your opinions,

Cat, I knew you were a good photographer, but wow, where were you when Curtis N and I got married? You captured so many beautiful moments. used creative angles and light. I've never put together a slide show before, so can't comment more than to say I like this, the transitions are very smooth and really seem to fit into one another.

Kristy wrote in post #2087703 (external link)
often I do 2 versions of something because I'm a freaking perfectionist and cannot bring myself to do something that I think is not great... so I show 2 versions... their requested version, and my altered version... but usually, my version ends up winning.

Your experience/professionalism lets you see the vision they are really looking for but can't quite express. A sucess you should be proud of.

Looked like a great time was being had by all. I don't remember seeing a picture of you before, so can you or will you tell us if you are in any of these shots? If so which one(s)?

Well, I'm somewhat saved by the fact that I'm at work and the picture is at home. So, I guess I'll give him the opportunity to post it himself, or maybe find one that makes for a better introduction.

Cat, that was completely amazing. The photos were superb, selective coloring tasteful..I am SO impressed!!

Just deciding which photos to use when would have driven me banana wacky's!

I particularly love the one with the groom blocking the sun shot up in B&W, awesome!

My only criticism is the first photo of the bride in the opening you can't really see her eyes, looks like she's over smiling (is that even a term?).

I am glad you heard from Chris and all is well, should we assume he got the job?

Pete, sorry, I didn't check out your pictures last night. I even saved the link, and then forgot to check it out. Oops. sorry. Looks like some keepers there! I agree with Becky, we would like you to point out which ones are you and/or your lovely girl. I have always been incredibly fascinated with ribbon dancers (is that what htey are called?) Those pics you got of them are great. Bet you were wishing you had more than a beer soaked Sony, eh? ;) Great pics, looks like you had fun! Nice tux.

I think in most of her pictures she is oversmiling, LOL. She was the cutest little thing, and every time she would smile her eyes would disappear
