My Kenko 2x TC works fine with my 70-200. Autofocus works great outdoors (even AI servo mode - I was using it to focus on Tornados landing recently). Photos at full zoom seem a bit flat and lose saturation a fair bit, but they can be reclaimed with some PP work. Darn sight cheaper than a 400mm zoom though, so I'm happy with it.
