Did Cat get the 200 f/2.8? Sweet. That's an excellent lens.

Yes she is. :D I loved reading them. And Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn too. That was back when books were GOOD.

I don't know if I enjoyed the books more or the series with Megan Follows, Dame Colleen Dewhurst and Richard Farnsworth. I read the books to my daughter when she was little and then we watched the series together. Either way was very cool.

I read the EXIF on that shot earlier today Cat...the 200mm didn't sink in. Congrats.

Agreed, Wooly. I can recite the movies verbatim. Absolutely loved them. Megan Follows played the part perfectly, and Richard Farnsworth is one of my favorite actors.

Yep...Megan was Anne as sure as there ever was an Anne...and what can you say about Mathew and Marilla...They seemed perfectly cast to me as well.

 We just had a small earthquake.

Waiting now for the after-shocks... still feeling shakey. I wonder how big on the scale it was.

We don't even notice small quakes, here. It has to be at least a 5.0 for anyone to pay attention...

Did everything stay on the walls and shelves?

yes - nothing broken or fallen. Just startling. When we moved here some thai people mentioned rumor of earthquakes... But now they happen for real, and quite regularly (every couple of months it seems). I wonder what is brewing under there. After the Tsunami, this region is rather nervous about plates moving and such.

How close are you to where the tsunami hit?

You know, now that I think of it, it really has been quite some time since I last felt an earthquake. We really haven't been having any recently. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or not.

I am in the north - far, far away from the coast.

long time with no earthquake can mean the tension is building...
