According to "breaking news" it was a 4.5 on the richter scale. Considered "moderate".

Thanks Lonnie! I am ready to move. I tell people around here America is a beautiful place and they should go visit it because THIS is not it.

Unfortunately, I've noticed that the job market is usually pretty slim in the areas I'd like to live in most.

Welcome home Zane! :D

No worries - the earthquake wasn't a big deal. Sort of fun when they are harmless like that. I guess over the long term, even the little ones cause structural damage though.

Remember last month when I was asking how to easily remove a blue cast from a photo? I just learned a very simple trick (much easier than mucking around in curves) to do that from Belmondo. Go to Levels, select the white point eye dropper (the one on the far right), then click on a part of the image that should be white. Works just like the white balance tool in ACR. Easy peasy...

Welcome home Zane. To bad, but it does seem that all good things must come to an end. It seems you had a great experience all in all, something to look back on for the rest of your life.

As Lonnie eluded too, if you need to earn a living many of these great places do not offer much opportunity. I have checked numerous times. One of the reasons I want to get this money earning phase of life over as soon as I can (and my kids will be gone by then) is to take time travel to all , or many of, these great places.

Theague, I am pondering buying a 100-400 to get reach. I've heard good and bad about it, so I'm still undecided. I guess they are good, but lots of people get bad copies.

mine is awesome..... but if weight is an issue this lens IS MOST DEFINATELY heavy after long periods of use

the 70-200 2.8 is still heavier tho by .1 of a pound (cat after you've been out for a couple of hours handholding bird in flight shots i dare you to tell me your arms don't hurt :))

It goes, from left to right, Missle Command, Space Invaders, PacMan, Tetris and if Terri wasn't in the way, Pong.

Also, the back of the computer bank is the logo for Atari & Commodore 64, and on the back of the siren light is the logo for Radio Shack. And, no, I have no idea why I did all that.

Awesome TR's! I love the little details. I got the Missile Command, Space Inveders and the Tetris screens and the Atari logo - wondered if the 64 was the Commodore logo. Oh, and does the Chief's shirt actually say "Chief"? Great that Wu and Permie get to go along.

And kinda nerdy. Also, there's a slide rule on Terri's desk. That's in memory of the old NASA engineers that did all that math stuff on slide rules, and they still got us to the moon.

Nice touch, Puds :D

Waiting now for the after-shocks... still feeling shakey. I wonder how big on the scale it was.
