BECKY I got boogered up by your storms on my connecting flight through O'Hare airport. I was going to try you when we got delayed but my laptop died and Leyla had packed the cord. The place was crazy with all the delays.

O'Hare is famous for that, if I was done with rehearsal, I'd of drove the 45 minutes just to see you and Leyla IRL storms or not.

Also, remember you have not seen that country in its winter extremes either, not quite so nice. Real cold and real short days.

Since he can't sleep when it is light out, maybe he'd get caught up on missed Zzzz's:p

I love that you know stuff. If I'm not mistaken, the ring extends over to your territory too sir. On the 16th of June there was a mag 4 earthquake off the coast of OR. The earth really is fascinating.

I wish I knew important stuff.

Oh yeah. Know all about that Ring o' Fire. These are not mountains:

They're volcanoes. These are the Three Sisters. There's a Fourth Sister brewing just below the surface.

GMAE fellow POTNers.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I'm beyond the point of ever going back and reading the past evening's postings, so here I am... Ready for whatever comes next. :)

That's a good plan. Welcome home, Theague.

Got me all nervous too.

That hit my funny bone...

Bendy wiggles!! HA!

cfpackerfan wrote in post #3404570 (external link)
 Does Ashley ever get the bendy wiggles? You can picture it can't you?
If I'm even gone for a couple hours, my dogs both get the severe bendy wiggles, with some good high pitched chuffing in the midst of it too.

We had a dog that got the moist bendy wiggles. Not so good.

PUDS Congratulations on a well deserved win! Great TR's keep em coming.

Thanks, Zane. Welcome home to you, too. Glad you made your trip alive. It tended to remind me of one of those Vacation movies....

I think it's Jefferson that's next up. I'm not too sure. We were in Central Oregon when I took this pic, and thus, being on the wrong side of the Cascades, I was all confused. I think it goes Sisters, Jefferson, Bachelor then Hood. After that, it's in your neck of the woods, starting with what's left of St. Helens.

Funny, I was just looking at google maps satelite image and was going to correct myself. Thanks for the topo map though, that makes it nice and clear. :)

LOL! I'm sure it will be heavy when it's been toted all day. My comment about heaviness, was that I was so worked up about how heavy it was going to be, that in reality, it didn't compare to what my imagination had cooked up for me.

*mental note to take Alan up on his dare....even if I'm lying, LOL*

LOL... i guess its not too bad once you get used to it..... but i only use the 100-400 handheld for periods of about half an hour or until the muscle in my left forearm starts to burn.... (whichever comes 1st ;))

Roger has a very similar condition but here its called a berkie wobbler (berkie is an old scottish word and comes from berserker)

it seems that practically every country on earth that has mountains has a set of 3 sisters (theres a very famous set in Glencoe)

on the subject of volcanos... when i spent 2 months in Sicily in 1999 the house i lived at was right on the base of mount etna
she would rumble and groan and give off little tremors every day (the 1st time i heard it i would have sworn it was gunfire and the mafia had just popped somebody :))
i always wondered what posessed people to build their houses in these types of places...
but once i tasted the wine made from the grapes grown in the UBER fertile soil i understood completely :)

is Etna the one that buried Pompeii or was that Vesuvius?

Chemical, where is Cumbernauld? I just drove all over the country and never came across a sign for it... Drove from Aberdeen up to Inverness, then over to Kyle of Localsh.. From there down to Glasgow on our way to Stranraer.. over to Belfast, up to Bushmills then back to Aberdeen in reverse order... From Aberdeen to Edinburgh and back and a few places in between... lol - yet, No Cumbernauld... :(
