Wade got some vacation time, and we have to take it over the July 4th holiday.
We have NO idea where to go.

We don't really want to do canyon hiking here. July is too hot. We are thinking more mountains and trees.

Suggestions??

Yeah, I think so. I want to do Oregon without the kids, that way, we can drive further distances per day.

We are thinking Colorado. I found a site that said that there's an annual balloon festival in Montrose over the 4th of July, but I can find NO information on that at ALL except for that one little blurb. I wonder if it's been updated?? Anyone in Colorado know anything about that??

I have a couple tickets to go on a hot air balloon ride that I bought at a charity auction. This has reminded me that I need to book the flight. Should be a hordes of fun.

Calgary used to be one of the biggest hot air balloon centres in North America, but has really dropped in the number we see daily now. We used to see dlots every day throughout the summer, and hundreds on a couple occasions.
