Lonnie, and Cat, you will have to get your times closer together. It would be great if you could be here at the same time. Around the fourth will probably not be the best time for me to get to Grand Junction, but if you were both going to be there I might be able to break away.

If you get the times down a little closer, let me know.

I don't know anything about Montrose, or that area. Sorry, I can't help you there. I'd be glad to help with anything I can from this side. I am a little closer than you.

Bummer. I didn't realize all of you were more on the Eastern side of Colorado.

I called my grandpa and talked to him for a bit today. He lives in Arrowhead (in the trees, right between Montrose and Gunnison)

We are going to stay with him for a night, and go to all the beautiful places around there. Hopefully will get to make it a bit south to Mesa Verde Nat'l Park too.

Yeah. I'm excited. I haven't been to my grandpas cabin for 14 years! And there is no excuse for that. It's not that far away. And I don't know how much longer my grandma has... Her alzheimers has gotten really really bad over the last year or so. It will be nice to spend some time with them.

THe kids dont mind traveling over the 4th of July, but they wanted to make sure that wherever we go has fireworks, LOL. Gpa said that Montrose and Gunnison both have a nice fireworks show. Whew.

There's no way I'll be able to synch my own schedule with hers that quick... Early July is way too soon for me.

Best I can hope for is to go pick her up and drag her along for the adventure.

Fireworks are crazy around here, we w ill be able to see shows on the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th!

I got home, and this was waiting for me on the porch. It's from Beth (eenorton). Ain't it the coolest thing?!
