Cat, the Southwest corner of Colorado is one of my favorite areas. Durango is just a great town, and some of the areas around there are the most beautiful areas in the world(IMHO). I haven't been there for a few years though. Mesa Verde is nice too. The Black Canyon is on my list of places to see. I hear that it is nice also.

Are you going to try to see all of that area in a few days? What are the days you are planning to be there again? Maybe I could get over there and meet someplace. It is not all that far away.

Holy Crap Cat! Now you have me rethinking my 4th of July plans. If you have an itinerary set let me know, maybe we could plan to cross paths. I'll have to coordinate with a few other people cause we already have camping plans. Maybe we could just swing a little further south and west and........anyway it's not that far of a stretch.

That's just disburbing...

When I think of Dukes of Hazzard, the first thing that comes to mind is Daisy Duke. (And I mean Catherine Bach, of course... I feel sorry for those who think of Jessica Simpson [Shudder] when they hear that name...)

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Lonnie, I would definately like to make the trip to Glenwood Springs. As soon as you have a time set let me know, I'll try my best to be there.

If Cat's path, and mine, don't cross before then, maybe we could hit her area for a few days during your adventure out here. ;)

The memorial is really neat too....where is that?

Just outside the lighthouse.

The Yaquina Head Light is about three miles North of Newport, Oregon. Great lighthouse.

I almost forgot to tell you guys. My son bought me a new monitor for Father's Day. A 20" Widescreen LCD display. WOOHOOO!!!!

It is great, but I don't have a DVI output from my old video card. Anybody have any real world info they could give me for the difference between the Analog and DVI connection. The analog looks good, a lot better than the old CRT. Just wondering if it would be even worth the video card upgrade to get the better picture? Comp has a low end card on sale right now for $69. I am planning a new computer purchase soon and wondering if I should just wait. Comments appreciated.

What a great FD present! As for computer stuff, I'm a Mac guy, so my suggestions probably wouldn't help you much.

DVI is technically better, but I seriously doubt you (or anyone) could notice it. I have used both a lot, and there is really no difference in quality. However, with DVI you can control things like brightness, contrast, and color management using your graphics card's control panel, which allows for a much finer detail control than with the monitor's controls.

In summary, it's not worth $70.

Thanks for the info Chris, I've heard some conflicting stuff. Maybe the best to wait for the new computer.
