Frong makes me think of the Dukes of Hazard:confused:

That is wrong in so many ways. The frong isn't wrong. Just that fact that you thought of it. :p

Cat, the Southwest corner of Colorado is one of my favorite areas. Durango is just a great town, and some of the areas around there are the most beautiful areas in the world(IMHO). I haven't been there for a few years though. Mesa Verde is nice too. The Black Canyon is on my list of places to see. I hear that it is nice also.

Are you going to try to see all of that area in a few days? What are the days you are planning to be there again? Maybe I could get over there and meet someplace. It is not all that far away.

Holy Crap Cat! Now you have me rethinking my 4th of July plans. If you have an itinerary set let me know, maybe we could plan to cross paths. I'll have to coordinate with a few other people cause we already have camping plans. Maybe we could just swing a little further south and west and........anyway it's not that far of a stretch.

When I called my grandpa, he started laughing and siad that there is NO way we are going to be able to see everything we want to in only 5 days.
I'm thinking it's going to be an area we visit more than once this year.
Anyway, the only solid plans we have so far is a hotel reservation in Grand Junction on Tuesday, July 3rd. We'll get there late, sleep, then get up in the morning and head out towards Grandpa's and then play it by ear from there. We have no set plans except to be home Sunday evening (the 8th). I know the kids will want to see the fireworks, but we don't know if we'll be watching in Montrose or Gunnison.
I'll PM you my phone #. If there's a way to cross paths, that would be great. If not, that's cool too....there will be other opportunities, I'm sure.

Cat, et. al. have you heard the soundtrack from "Menopause the Musical"? One of the cast members gave me a CD I was busting out laughing listening to it in the car last night. I have to go see that production and then I want to be in a production of it someday.

Nope, never heard it. *off to search for a snippet or two*

REVIEW (external link)

Waa Hoo!! That's a GREAT review! Although you can tell that he does have a bit of a grudge against Mike. He reigns it in pretty well though.

I found it interesting that in musical critiques as well as photo critiques, the term "Spot On" is used. Love it.

i run 2 monitors side by side
one comes from the dvi output on the vid card...... one from the anologue output....
theres no difference whatsoever in quality

and i guess it depends on the video card because i can control the brightness/contrast etc on both the monitors with the graphics card control panel.
i dunno about other manufacturers but nvidia cards come with software to specificly control dual monitor setups... (its called Nview)

Thanks for the help Alan, I guess the video card upgrade will wait.

I have a Nvidia card now and I have the on screen controls through it as well. Works pretty good. That was the only way I was able to keep my old monitor running for so long. It was getting really dark, and I was able to keep turning up the brightness. The control through the monitor had limited adjustment, but the software had much more range.

My eyes see well enough, and the camera is capable enough, now if they would just work together.

Just popping in to say g'MAE!

Oh yeah Brownie just dropped off my TC. The B&H box was crushed. I opened it before Brownie left and the TC box is wrinkled but the TC is ok so I accepted the packaged. Now if I could get payroll done, I can go outside and play with it for a minute. :)

G'mae friendly people ;)

It's a lovely day here, though I expect I'll spend most of it doing pp from yesterday...

Hope you are all well.

Becky, congratulations on that review! I'm sure it was well earned. And for everything else I've missed (very sorry...)

You know, I always wonder how they can get away with thrashing a person's deliveries? I've had a couple of boxes that were like that...and was totally shocked when the UPS guy didn't want to wait and see how the contents were...

I want to move too!!

I'm perfectly happy in Washington. :)

Alaska is beautiful though. I flew to Juneau once and the flight up is amazing... all the mountains and glaciers are really beautiful. It's a great place but I'd never live there.

Only way to get the green is to have rain.
I'd rather have rain than midgies!! I got to experience those first hand at Eilean Donan and on Skye... WHAT a pain!

thankfully the bites I got just turned red and didn't itch.. i was lucky... the red was gone by the next morning. However, while I was out there shooting and sweating they SWARMED me... I was constantly trying to slap them away to no avail.. lol

At one point I dunked my head in a stream by a waterfall I was shooting on skye late in the day... didn't keep them away. :(
