Hi Deb (and Jamie, and Lonnie, and Dan, and everyone else.)

For those that have asked in the past, we got the results from Nathan's MRI scans yesterday. Apparently they have not shown anything wrong. Not really sure how to take that. On one level, it's great, but it would have been better to have a reason for why Nathan's walking like he is. Now we have to sort out an appointment with the specialist to talk about other possible reasons and what we need to do now. It'll probably take a couple of months to get that appointment.

Well Mark at least it rules out some stuff right ..And could he out grow it? My son had alot of issues as a kid and simply outgrew it ..most of it was related to the speed in which he grew .."growing pains are a real thing ...lol who knew .

I like all of those shots, Deb. When I first saw the daisies I thought it a shame that they weren't in perfect condition but looking longer I think that the slightly tattered look really adds to the image, particularly with that faded edge.

Very nice pics, Deb! The first one is great!

Mark, glad to hear that the tests came back negative. Though I understand about being frustrated at not knowing. :( Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the specialist has good news (Or at least, not bad news) and the issue is easily resolved.

Well, Mark, that's good/weird news. Was this MRI strictly for the skeletal base, or did it also scan the tendon/ligament connectors? It almost sounds like the tendons aren't long enough, or the short muscles are firing too soon.

Heck, what do I know. I'm just glad it wasn't anything life threatening. Give Nathan our love.

Thanks, Deb. You are right about it ruling stuff out. You may well be right about him growing out of it eventually, too. He is actually fairly tall for his age. He looks and acts older than he is and it often surprises people to find out his real age. We tend to forget too, and talk to him and treat him as if he were older, because of the way he acts most of the time.

Thanks, Dan. I think the scan was just spinal and head so did not examine the muscles/tendons in the leg. Your assessment of what's happening sounds spot on to what we see. Now we just need to find out why and how to correct it.

I'll pass on the love. It's been said before and will be again, but this is such a FANTASTIC group of people. Thanks to everyone. :D

Most of all as parents we just wanta make sure we are doing all we can to in sure proper care ect ..half the battle is ruling stuff out the other is learning how to relax ..Good luck on both fronts :) you know parenting is not for whimps ..or did'nt that come in your manual?
